Index Coop community is a top governor 🤝
With the number of airdrops given out to voters at Yearn and Badger it’s no surprise they feature in the top 5, but Index Coop is sitting strong in terms of unique voters and ballots cast. Unique voters at least shows the strength of our DAO with a high number of engaged token holders, would be nice to see that as a percentage of total addresses to normalise it somewhat, but we’ll take it.
What it’s all about 💌
Community member Helmass wrote a post this week that was a fair bit different to the usual updates or discussion. I’ll quote a section here;
We are changing the world and fundamentally levelling the playing field for millions of people around the world. We might fail, but the risk is too big not to give it our all.
The writing was full of emotion and energy but tied in some actionable outcomes between the stories about teaching Dad how to buy DPI. I highly recommend checking it out. After a barnstorming 8 months it’s nice to remember why we are working on these things in the first place.
Treasury Committee ➡️ Funding Council
More of a public service announcement here to say that the Treasury Committee is now called the Funding Council (h/t @Greg for the suggestion). The mandate remains the same to maintain and grow the Coop, but the name change comes as we implement a roadmap to handover control of the multi-sig to the Index Coop community.
The change should also help reduce any confusion between the Treasury Working Group and the Funding Council, as they have different purposes but shared similar names.
DeFriday moves to Twitter Spaces 🐦
We try to foster inclusivity at Index Coop, so it’s good to see DeFriday moving to Twitter where iPhone and Android users alike can listen in.
Keeping it short and sweet this week, don’t forget to subscribe for weekly highlights of what the Coop has been up to!
We always welcome new members to the community, if you like what you see come and join the discussion in our social channels. @darkforestcap
